I’ve posted this song awhile back, but these words still resonate.

I remember here
I remember you and me
I remember wild and wild and free
I remember stay
I remember please don’t ever leave
I remember you made me believe

That tomorrow and today
The sun would hold our hands
But the night came in to stay
While you made other plans

I remember time
I remember days slid into you
Filled in lifetimes thinking you’d be here
But tomorrow and today
Well they misunderstood
And you went along your way
I think you’re gone for good

You are the sun gone down
You are the sky
You are the moon rushed round
You are good bye
You are good good bye

La da da da
La da da da

I remember gold
I remember one maybe you could wait
I remember arms reached out to late.

Cause tomorrow and today
Are only here so long
When there’s nothing left to say
I hear that life moves on

You are the sun gone down
You are the sky
You are the moon rushed round
You are goodbye
You are good good
You are goodbye
You are good good bye

La da da da
La da da da
La da da da da
Listen to it here.

The manuscript Blue Lines is the fictional coming of age narrative of a young California woman Key Yemaya Walker, and her 2 year growing journey through school, love, and life period piece, written by Kenneth Suffern, Jr., taking place at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill between the years of 1997 – 1998. Loosely based on true events, and experiences during that time, told through the eyes and voice of the main female protagonist, a freshman first attending the school.
