I saw someone post something earlier (well two different posts the last two days) and it inspired this piece.
Why do I have to SAY it again,
My actions fall on deaf ears,
You complain you don’t believe me,
I’m failing to quell your fears,
Yesterday was better than today,
But your inconsistency causes you tears,
What am I trying to prove to you,
The past and the future, not clear,
Do I say, “I love you,” again,
Is that what you need to hear,
It’s not what’s around your neck,
It’s not what’s in your ears,
If I put something on your hand,
Will that make it clear,
Ready, we may never be,
If my words and actions fall on deaf ears.
