“Hide away”
KS 4/17/12
Let’s run,
Away from this place,
Maybe around the corner,
Maybe down the street,
An obvious restaurant,
A hidden hotel,

Hide away,

Let’s tell the world,
Then stay at home,
Light dim,
Sound low,
The dun of our heartbeats,
Us alone,

Hide away,

Let’s be invisible,
Hidden in public,
Concealed in our eyes,
In our presence,
The only thing of import,
Is our simple time,

Hide away,

Let’s get lost in time,
Night and day,
Wasting weeks away,
Smiles and gazes,
Silent without names,
It’s for this I pray,

Let’s hide away.

Loosely based on true events, and experiences during that time, told through the eyes and voice of the main female protagonist, a freshman first attending the school.
