“Mind and Body”
K.S. 4/27/12
Your breath was harried,
Your chest tight,
Burning,
I watched you,
Protecting you,
The wind blew cool,
Rough,

We were a long way from home,

Your body betrayed your mind,
Pressing closer,
My breath warmed the nape,
Of your neck,
Signaled your body to,
Press closer,
I tried to maintain control,

We were a long way from home,

I leaned in closer,
As you pressed into me,
If your mind only knew,
Your body’s devious ways,
Your hair thrashed in a trice,
We were Keypsiia and Blue,
For brief moments,

We were a long way from home,

Far from lovemaking,
You woke, recovered,
Separated, stared,
Returned to slumber,
Your body returned quickly,
Like a child seeking the forbidden,
Pressed into me,

We were a long way from home,

The love notes,
Sat at home,
Myriad of words,
Silenced,
Explanations and excuses,
Elsewhere,
Bodies shared,

We were a long way from home,

The tumult of the windstorm,
Matched our furor,
Silent yearnings,
My mind,
Your body,
Bodies with carnal needs,
My Love,

We were a long way from home,

My breath along your neck,
Lungs contracting in unison,
You, pushing me to insanity,
Arms wrapping you,
Lotion, sweat created your scent,
I inhaled,
Consumed,

We were a long way from home,

Air cold,
Bodies warmed,
A mix of past,
Present,
Lust,
Like,
Love,

We were a long way from home,

I wanted all of you,
You teased me to the brink,
Pressed close,
Strength so weak,
Sleep a distant dream,
Your mind unaware,
Your body had me to herself,

We were a long way from home.
