“Joined Here”
KS 7/4/12
Weary I looked up,
To see you again,
Things had changed,
Joined, you were still the same,
I looked at you with different eyes,
Our conversation good,
She and I, and,
Joined, you were still the same,
About you I knew the same,
About me, I hoped you knew little,
We smiled,
Joined, you were still the same,
Your advice I ignored,
What I told you was true,
I did leave,
Joined, you were still the same,
But today we’re here,
In a moment you asked, I deferred,
I enjoyed our time,
Joined, you were still the same,
Me, a different man,
You the same friend,
And, the unknown adventure,
We have time, we’ve no planes to leave,
You…deepest friendship,
Me…deepest…
Joined, you were still the same.
