I wrote this, and didn’t feel like waiting, so I coupled with Foto Friday.

“Engage”
K.S. 07/12/12
You sat, legs folded,
A smile managed your face,
I peered into your eyes,
Softened,
Inviting,
Brown,
Engaging,
You listened and you spoke,
Words that echoed our lives,
Verbs painting pictures of,
Foreign lands,
Your hands,
Wrapped by mine,
Our step in time,

The dichotomy of engagement,
I watched and spoke to My Love,
Heart open,
Unfettered,
Honest,
Free,
The future, present, and past,
Unified in audience,
Your empty hand…now,
With a space for promise,
Engagement
