The first love affair,
Unplanned, unplugged, unrepeated,
Forbidden and unprepared,
All defenses clearly defeated,

Was it something I needed,
Existence, not whatever planned to be,
So I continued to let you feed it,
With you I was always free,

Our love was one for the ages,
No one comprehended what we were,
Together the world, we would face it,
It was me and you, against the world,

But our stasis was awry,
You were unrelenting in your play,
I make up some distance I tried,
But there was the unrelenting echo of an unfillable void.
