I have not been overly inspired to write in some time, since about 2012. I have forced myself in some cases the last two years. I don’t know what to call this write, it’s new, a 5 haiku stanza piece that I tried to inspire myself to write.

Am I the reason…
You smile so bright and cheery,
Or is that a dream,

Can you make me love,
Again like I did that time,
Is it that easy,!

What does the future
Hold, I say yes to open
Hands, only for you?

Your scent, your voice, your
Skin, yes, no, maybe, with you,
Still want to do this?

Clear your mind, don’t think,
Life is in front of us now,
In time we will see.

The manuscript Blue Lines is the fictional coming of age narrative of a young California woman Key Yemaya Walker, and her 2 year growing journey through school, love, and life period piece, written by Kenneth Suffern, Jr., taking place at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill between the years of 1997 – 1998. Loosely based on true events, and experiences during that time, told through the eyes and voice of the main female protagonist, a freshman first attending the school.
