Slowly easing into a new year,
Past mistakes behind,
Moving forward with something new,
What was there to learn,
What did it mean,

Doors opening to new opportunities,
Some reflections of the past,
Some reincarnated anew,
What was there to earn,
What did it mean,

Closing out what was already known,
Freeing yourself of former fetters,
Cleansing of negative detritus,
What was there to discern,
What did it mean,

Returning to the cusp of the process again,
Holding on to what means the most,
You are now in tow,
Loving looking forward,
Creating new meaning.
