I stumbled across this gem from the Smashing Pumpkins 1998 album, “Adore,” while watching the return of Homicide: Life On The Streets to television for a movie to wrap up the series. At that time, I guess it was cathartic, as it brought out feelings I held inside after the passing of my grandfather. Also incorrectly thinking one of two friends, with the same name, had passed. Though bad just the same. In 2012, the song does not produce the same response, however it is sad and melancholy just the same.

It was a song I needed to hear at that time.
