Rolex rockin’, silk shirt wearin’
Silk socks, and b—s need to breathe
So b—h the draws cotton cause you gon’ suck me when you leave
In a big Benzo on Lorenzos
With your homegirl LaQuinta who said she never did but she would try it
And as she higher than the f–kin’ Hyatt
She jet settin’, Moët’n, the God blesses
Against him prospers no weapon, champaignin’
Campaignin’, gator shoes high steppin’
My dopey eyes just hide behind my Dita frames
I heard this n—a say he don’t like me, well he the lame

[Hook – Sarah Barthel:]

We were just here born to shine

[Verse One: Phife Dawg]

1988 Senior Year, Garvey High
Where all the guys were corny but the girls were mad fly
Loungin with the Tipster, Coolin with Sha
Scopin out the honeys – they know who they are
I was the b-ball playin fly rhyme sayin
Fly girl gettin but never was I sweatin
Cause when it came to honeys I would go on a stroll
Until I met my match – her name was Flo
Yeah – I messed around with the one called Flo
All the troopers round the way used to call her a ho
But deep down in my heart I knew that Flo was good to go
Cause I thought it was me – like Bell Biv Devoe
But little did I know that she was playin’ with my mind
The only thing I learned is, good girls are hard to find
I feel like Heavy D I need somebody for me

[Verse One: Q-Tip, Phife Dawg]

Honey, check it out, you got me mesmerized
With your black hair and fat-a-s thighs
Street poetry is my everyday
But yo, I gotta stop when you trot my way
If I was working at the club you would not pay
Ayo, my man Phife Diggy, he got something to say

I like em brown, yellow, Puerto Rican or Haitian
Name is Phife Dawg from the Zulu Nation
Told you in the jam that We Can Get Down
Now let’s Knock the Boots like the group H-Town
You got BBD all on your bedroom wall
But I’m Above the Rim and this is how I ball
A pretty little something on the New York street
This is how I represent over this here beat
Talking bout you

Records, West Coast

Fitting for this monsoon coming down in Chicago this evening.

[Verse 1:]
It’s six o’clock I’m hoppin’ out of the bed
Rain fallin’, callin’ ex but my phoneline is dead
I guess my bills ain’t paid
No ride to work for the day
Second option hop the bus but there’s a traffic delay
My boss trippin’ cause I’m runnin’ late and ain’t no excuse
When I’m about to be 22 without a whip I could swoop
Feel like I’m fixin to shoot my own dome with chrome to escape
Zonin’ out cause workin workin out ain’t worth what I make
My lady callin’ buggin’ always fussin’ just cause we ain’t ballin’
But it’s hard because her cousin is f–kin’ rich cause her husband’s hustlin’
And I ain’t f–kin touchin’ nothin’ but a mic
Five o’clock and off of work ready to go home and write
But I ain’t got a buck to catch the bus, chillin’ at the stop
Rain fallin’ hard as ever and it’s soakin’ my socks
F–k it, kick my kicks off and took off my jacket
Roll my jeans up beat up and my headphones blastin’
Blazed some weed up and started laughin’
While I’m splashin’ in puddles like
Mothaf–k a struggle we dancin’ in the rain

[Chorus 1:]
Don’t nobody wanna dance slow in the rain
Just move yo a-s… just move yo a-s
Don’t nobody wanna liberate the way to the pain
Just move yo a-s… just move yo a-s

[ Illa Noyz ]
You didn’t know so let it flow my slang bang ya
Crews move to my tunes before the Macarena
Consider it danger
Mongol slay it, play a beat like a perfect stranger
Simple and plain give me the lane-ahh
Catch the beat like grand groove
My hustle is mad smooth
Tight platoon since the rise of the black moon
Since you assume, youve seen my sun shining
And O.G.C you notice me with Heltah Skeltah vibing
Wack venetian blinding
Wreck from mine, charged for manslaughtering at times
The Bucktown Judy
Flow like a swan with rhymes, who you be?
The Illa
You feel me in your inner
I deliver deadly like postmen
Im holding
Hold up thats an understatement
When the beats break it aint no move faking
Im more them FBI guys with the rude awakening
Further contemplation
May lead to some titles being taken
When its Noyz your facing
Your placed in a stressful situation

Chorus: Illa Noyz and Heltah Skeltah
And it does
Sound ill like noise in Brownsville
Yes it does
Sound ill like noise in Brownsville
Yeah it does
Sound ill like noise in Brownsville
Yes it does
Sound ill like noise in Brownsville

Verse One:
People have a memory loss they don’t remember I’m the boss
You’re claustraphobic when I close it
In on your men and your faculty you wack’ll be
Out my face you must be basin’ if you think
That you could tackle the triumphant I pump it
The volume increase as you mices get sliced to pieces
Please listen to my album even if you’re white like talcum
And I paid t’getcha stay here
Tuned with my tune and I presume if you see doom designated
To anyone who stated, a word against me
I serve an mc, simply
Put like my foots up your anus, ya shame us
Tryin’ to get over, I’ma go for mine
You know the time now they are older
I’m gonna rip n—a’s heads with the said salutations
Introducing Del and his bid for boosting tails
Of my adventures, attempt to try
And you will limp or die, whichever I choose, you lose
Crews get ashamed cause we blame them for bitin’
You might win if you start writing, and stop fighting
No time for games, I’ll rearrange my vocals
In your headphones, I hold til I get a answer
Acknowledge and abolish all the wack records
Hieroglyphics, you know, repect ’em

Chorus: [repeat 2X]
Who caught the harm, you bought the farm
If you’re friend, there’s no need for alarm
